Stone’s the Monumental Masons is a very long-established independent family firm making and fixing memorials of the highest quality in both materials and craftsmanship. We are, and have been for many years, members of the National Association of Monumental Masons (NAMM), meeting the highest industry standards.
With our workshops and showground in Weymouth, in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, we also have an extensive showroom in Martock, Somerset, which has parking right up to the front door.
We have a wide range of natural stone and granite, in different shapes, sizes and ornamentation to suit your individual needs. We can help you choose what is most appropriate for your loved one and we advise you about local church and cemetery regulations and fees and deal with the application for you.
In addition to crafting and fixing headstones, we also letter existing memorials with additional inscriptions, renovate older memorials and undertake regular cleaning and maintenance of memorials to give you peace of mind.

A stunning example of a Portland stone memorial. We worked very closely with our client to produce
exactly what they envisaged. Drawings were produced and approved before we commenced work.
A Portland Stone headstone commissioned to include the carving of the lorry. Our client was a haulier and wanted his profession incorporated into the design of the memorial. The carving was produced from a photograph of the actual vehicle used during his working days.
Dark Grey Granite with a ‘half ogee’ shaped top. The design was accomplished by working closely with our client and achieved after numerous discussions and visits to the yard.
